How to check if an MTG price is fair

  1. Find the exact card. Type the name in the box above. Same name, different printing, very different price.
  2. Pick the printing and finish. Normal or foil. A foil priced like a normal copy is a bargain; the reverse is not.
  3. Type the asking price. Whatever the shop, binder or friend-of-a-friend wants.
  4. Read the verdict. We compare it to the cheapest Near Mint TCGplayer listing for that printing (with shipping for cards under $5): Below market, Fair price, A bit high, or Overpriced.
  5. Check condition and shipping. Our number assumes Near Mint. A played copy should cost less, and shipping on top of a fair price can make it not one.
